We bought this futon in October '08 for our guest bedroom. In Spring '09, we inherited a full sized bed and put that in the guest room instead. The futon has just been sitting in the master bedroom ever since, taking up space. It has seen very little use and is still in great condition. Seats are steel frame and pad, generously foam-padded and upholstered. Spring mechanism returns seats to a folded, upright position when not in use. Fold-away writing leafs are incorporated into each unit. Arm rests are solid, covered with wood-grain laminate. Units bolt together to accommodate any seating row length.
