I am a UGA graduate student and am looking to buy a home for under 135,000 dollars (Preferably a good deal below this). I know this is the "rental property wanted" section but I am just wondering if there are any folks with a nice house they have been renting that they have been thinking of selling. I am particularly interested in old homes (even if they need a bit of work) not townhomes or duplexes that are within 4 or so miles from the UGA campus as I am a bicyclist. Any size home is fine particularly if there is also some land too (fer building a greenhouse and garden).

okay, so my roommate and i live in a two bedroom two bath apartment in the middle of downtown. we both have hectic semesters coming up and think it might be better to move to some place less distracting. so if you've ever wanted to live downtown here is your chance. we are looking for two people to take our spots in our apartment and trade you for your two bedroom apartment. location for us isnt too important, as long as it is safe. our place is alot of fun and it is very safe.

the next thing is our rent is $540 a month, but if your rent is cheaper and still want to live here we will pay the difference. so like if your rent for your place is $500 a month then you can continue to pay that but live in our apartment and we will pay the difference. the only thing that will change is the utilities and tv service and such, but that is all transferable. we will take our stuff to your place and you can bring your stuff to ours. and the pet deposit is already paid for our apartment so you can bring your furry friend for no charge.

also, we are not trying to move back in our place after so if you like it then you can stay by signing a lease for the next year, but if you want your place back we will move out and you can have it back.

we just are really desperate for a place to have a place where we can have a successful semester. and looking to be settled there for january.

Having a hard time finding time to stay caught up on your household chores? Miss having home-cooked meals and don't have time to prepare them? Have an extra bedroom and don't mind sharing your home with a friendly, hard-working fella?

I'm very interested in finding an arrangement as a live-in housekeeper with somebody who could use just that. I'm an extremely friendly person, a pretty good cook, and do a fine job keeping a clean house. I'd be glad to exchange some of my time for somewhere to live, in or around Athens. I have no problem doing laundry, sweeping, mopping, dusting, cleaning dishes, raking leaves, cleaning bathrooms, toilets and tubs, vacuuming, and just staying caught up with everything in general. I'm also pretty handy, and am pretty good at fixing things up that need fixing. I don't know if I'd make a great babysitter, as I've never actually done that, but I'm not opposed to the idea of keeping an eye on the kids from time to time too if ya need.

I've never been in an official housekeeping-role before, where it was in exchange for some sort of compensation, but I've lived on my own for quite some time, and I grew up with parents who some would have considered to have a form of OCD, so I grew up cleaning and enjoy it.

I could easily produce a list of references, as most anyone who has ever met me would quickly vouch for my trust-worthiness and friendliness.

Each situation will be different, from what you're looking for to what fair compensation would be. Ideally, I'll just find a situation where it's an even exchange of domestic-housework for free housing. But we can iron out the details of the arrangement if you're interested.

So here is my story....I am a 27 y/o female. I just moved here from Oregon about a month ago and have taken a great job with the University. I've been looking and looking for a place but with the budget I'm on at this point (trying to recoup from the cross country move) I'd really love to find a cool, like minded female to get a place with. I am well aware that there are no shortage of listings on the big CL, but after driving to and looking at at least 10-15, I'm quickly finding that most of the shared living situations are....well, somewhat less than ideal. Honestly, it's not a diss, but having lived in my own place in Portland for the last 4 years, and having spent a lot of time collecting pieces that match and are cute I thought I would just throw out this line and see if by chance there are some non-student or older student late twenties females in somewhat the same boat. I have seen TONS of cute rental houses just driving around and would love to make one our own :)

So a little about me. I worked for a film studio over in Portland for a couple years prior to moving here. I moved here because my boyfriend lives here and we got tired of doing the distance thing ;) But don't worry, he won't be a squatter in the place, but he is a super nice, friendly guy so I promise he wouldn't drive you crazy. I have both a really outgoing side and a really quite, keep to myself side and at home I'm just as happy reading a book in my room as I am hanging out and hosting fun theme parties. I'm not a 'partier' in the college sense of the word. I really like hosting people, doing fun gatherings and movie nights etc. . .but am not into parties that are simply an excuse for people to come over and trash the place while they themselves get trashed. Just not my thing. I like to keep things clean and have a really relaxing and cozy place to come home to after a nice day of work. I take hip-hop dance classes and am hoping to get back into that swing here in the next month, and I also am pretty involved with my church down in Lawrenceville. I love fashion, but I'm not an airhead about it. I just like to shop and create fun little ensembles, but I pretty much never pay full price for anything, I like the thrift stores. I love eating at new places, and am hoping to begin an intense and strategic exploration of Atlanta here pretty soon. I play the piano, like to write, read and imbibe in a good cup of coffee. I also love volleyball, but it can be a bit heard to find a good team to play on.

I can sweep and mop and dust and clean windows and vacuum and rake and garden and scrub toilets and bathtubs and sinks and wash and fold laundry and oh so many household chores.
