well barkley went to the vets and it`s not good Barkley is in very bad shape ,but we are not giving up .He has heart worms tape worm hook worm needs surgery on his teeth (which vet won`t do till we get weight on and all worms will be gone ) heart worm treatment will start in about 3-4 weeks .He also has ear mites . and also a heart mumor. I couldn`t put him down because of some stupid jerk didn`t take care of him . heWILL be a beautiful boxer when this is all done and he WILL have a warm loving home with us .some how i will get the 500.00 for his heartworm treatment if i have to sell things from our house . i just wish we could get the person that took him to the shelter .

i rescued this poor Boxer from a kill shelter yesterday after seeing him on craigslist as urgent .the picture i saw was good compared to what he looked like when i went to pick him up. He was an owner turn in and that owner should be accountable for his or her actions.This poor dogs ears was clogged with dirt and hadn`t been cleaned in ages. His teeth (well lets say his mouth was terrible) you could see broken teeth swelled gums and an over all mess gums and all . i am taking him today to the vet and already know i`m looking at hundreds of dollars of work . he will be tested for heartworms and given his shots . please pray he doesn`t have heartworms he would not make it thur the treatments. i just hope the X- owner gets what he or she deserve .if he makes it this dog will never want for love and attention or medical help again AND he is still a young dog

I rescued an American Bulldog mix from an abusive owner and have been fostering him for about 2 weeks now. I am a foster mom for a rescue group in Athens but the rescue group is completely full, so I have been paying for this dog's vet bills and neuter because he was just too sweet to bring to animal control. He is up to date on all of his vaccinations and he has been neutered. He currently has a mild bacterial infection on his head and foot (as you can see in the picture), but he is on some antibacterial drops and the hair is already growing back in. The vet said it should clear up fine. He is already housebroken and he is crate trained. He sleeps in his crate and he never whines or cries. He also goes into his crate on command. He is fantastic with other dogs and with all humans. He is only 1 year old, so we are still working on training him in other areas. He is medium energy meaning he definitely needs a good long walk each day and some play time, but he is good about calming down when his fosters are pooped! All around he is a fantastic dog and deserves a wonderful home.

There will be a $125 adoption fee (we have already paid out $200), an application process and a home visit for this dog. Nibbles is a 3 year old male silver tabby. He was rescued as a kitten from a serious case of neglect in Newtown Pennsylvania. He has only three legs but it doesn�t slow him down too much. He is super loving and up fully up to date on vaccines. Medical history will be provided for a new owner. He needs to go to a home with no dogs and to a permanent home. I rescued him but have three dogs myself and we are full in my townhouse. He never bites or uses his claws and is a big cuddle bug. I have two maine coon sisters that I need to rehome. They are approx. 6 years old and both are in good health. I would prefer that the girls stay together. They come with two litter boxes, two beds, litter, an assortment of toys, several water and food bowls and food.

I have two dogs that live in my home. I had decided that I wanted a couple of large housecats and found the sisters on here back in May or June. They have NEVER gotten used to my dogs and its just an unfair living situation for them, as they stay in my bedroom at all times, never coming out. They do not have registration papers and were given to me by a couple in Cumming that found out that the wife had allergies to the hair. I'm not certain that they are purebred Maine Coons. I'm not certain that they are sisters. I honestly believe that Roxie is Sophies mother, just due to the size difference and the dynamics between the two, though....honestly I don't know much about cats, so I could be wrong. They are current on their shots and I will have the vet records available to the new owners.

The family that I got them from was their second home. Their original family had gotten older and moved to a retirement village where pets are not allowed. Due to the situation of now two attempts to rehome Roxie and Sophie I truly want to make sure that they will be going to their forever homes. If you know anything about Maine Coons you will know that they are very dog like and thrive on attention.

PLEASE note......these ladies are not going to a home with dogs. I've tried it, it doesn't work. They are pretty laid back, I'm not sure how they are with small children as I do not have small children of my own. I think they would make ideal pets for a couple that doesn't want children or that has an older child that wants a pet.

They have been declawed by previous owners and are fixed. They CANNOT live outside. They wouldn't be able to defend themselves and have never been outside except to go to the vet and to their new home.

Roxie is approx 13 lbs, she is the more common Maine Coon coloration of tabby/white
Sophie is approx 10 lbs, she is black with a white bib and white mustache.
