Here for sale are two antique brass table lamp bases. They are 50+ years old. I cannot state how much older than that they may be, but I have provenance for at least that age. These are only the bases; they will need polishing up, rewiring, sockets, bulbs and shades of your choosing to be completed. A strong magnet does not attract to them, which indicates they are not just brass plated. Also brass is typically golden-yellow in color; bronze is more reddish-brown. These are 21” tall as they stand now (see photo). They weigh 5.5 to 6 pounds each, the variation between them due to their casting. These are a project which could make them worth way much more. $20. (This is below SCRAP brass price!).
