External coolant leak present - please read.
2000 Chevrolet Silverado 1500
5.3L V8 | 4WD | Extended Cab | 6.5’ bed
~220,000 miles
I’ve owned this truck for about 15 years (100k–220k miles). Selling as-is so the next owner can repair the coolant leak in the way they prefer.
Known Issue:
▪ External coolant leak visible under pressure, small pulsing spray toward the firewall on driver side. Appears to be cylinder head leak and/or head gasket.
▪ Truck runs and drives, but should not be driven with current leak rate.
▪ Selling as-is for buyer diagnosis and repair.
▪ Good candidate for reman engine with warranty, used engine, or deep dive into repair.
Highlights:
▪ Michelin Defender tires ~90% tread
▪ Recent brakes, pads, and stainless steel brake hoses
▪ Aftermarket entertainment system with backup camera
▪ Transmission shifts well, drivetrain is solid
▪ Electric trailer brake controller
▪ Low towing miles (3k lb trailer for 1000 miles in last 15 years).
Additional Notes:
▪ Truck spent approximately 3 years up North earlier in its life; majority of ownership in Georgia
▪ Bed has an access panel for fuel pump service
▪ Paint wear on hood and rust on the rockers
▪ Clean title in hand.
