We have BARN CATS ready to kill rodents on your property! All cats are spayed/ neutered/vaccinated and delivered to you, at no cost (w/in a reasonable distance).
Barn Cats are excellent hunters of vermin – they will raid rodent nests within your barn, patrol your hobby farm, workshop, garden, fields, and protect your livestock/poultry food stores. They will even keep rodents from destroying your expensive machinery & equipment.
How do we get the barn cats? Our registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization rescues healthy feral cats from local shelters, where they are often euthanized because they aren’t particularly friendly with humans and can’t be adopted as housecats… but these feral cats are excellent hunters of vermin in any barn/farm/outdoor setting. It’s best to adopt at least a pair or even a group of cats, because the cats are social with one another and are more effective as hunters in greater numbers (plus they are fixed).
When we deliver your cats: We recommend that you acclimate the cats to your property in a confined space for some time (2-4 weeks). So pick a secure structure on your property or in your barn.- ie., tack room, storage shed, chicken coop/other small animal pen, garage, XL wire dog crate, etc. We ask that you maintain food, water, and a (temporary) litterbox, in the area where they are acclimating. This way, the cats become accustomed to their new home, get used to a feeding routine, and tend to stick around at a greater rate, once you release them out of the “pen”. Check out some of the example acclimation pens in the photos attached to this post.
You’ll continue to provide them food and water once released – as they hunt out of instinct (not necessarily hunger) and cat food provides the nutrients to keep them healthy and strong.
Feel free to email, text, or call using the information provided. Please leave a voicemail if we are unable to answer.
Thanks,
The Barn Cat Program
Note: The cats pictured here are examples of cats that have already found barn homes through our program; we get a new batch of cats each week, and we will deliver first to those who request a greater number of cats.
