Hi! My name is Hannah and I'm a local certified dog trainer offering services across Athens and surrounding areas. I'm experienced with basic obedience, leash walking, potty training, trick training, and even reactivity and behavior work. I have used a wide variety of tools and techniques to help dogs and their owners have stronger relationships and better communication with each other. I consider myself to be a "realistic" or "real life" trainer, meaning that I'm not going to impose unrealistic expectations on either you as an owner or on the dog. I'm not going to push you to work on something that isn't a problem, or tell you to change everything about your routine. Most pet owners simply want help with a few key quirks or behaviors without upending your entire life to do so. I find training to be most effective when the owners and trainer work in tandem, so my primary goal is to be a supportive coach and teammate for owners and their goals as opposed to a drill sergeant. I try whenever possible to offer simple and straightforward adjustments, DIY enrichment activities, and setting the dog up for success from the start.
The primary service I offer is in-person sessions, usually in the owners home or other applicable locations such as parks or pet-friendly stores. I do have packages available for these sessions that lower the per session price, but all packages must be paid for by the time of the first session.
I also offer virtual sessions with additional package options.
I do offer boarding and training packages on a limited basis, and I require at least one in-person session prior to starting a board and train.
