condition: excellent
make / manufacturer: Fender
model name / number: Jazzmaster
I bought this from Mike & Mike's Guitar Bar last year and it's mostly been in its case since, outside of a few jazz gigs and recordings. It's a fantastic guitar with great frets, nice balance, and the best feeling/looking/sounding neck I've ever owned. I hate to sell it but I can really use the funds at the moment.

The only modification I made to it was adding Mustang saddles to the bridge, to have more string stability. I'll include the original 60's style saddles it came with.

There are small scratches here and there from picking, and perhaps from my belt, but they're only really noticeable if you're looking for them. I did my best to picture them in my photos.

The first few photos are from the original Mike & Mike's posting, since I'm terrible at taking photos.

I bought it for $2,000 plus shipping, asking $1,800 local pickup. Let me know if you'd like any more info or photos from me. Thanks!

Description from original listing:

Up for sale, a 2022 Fender Traditional 60s Jazzmaster in mint condition and in perfect working order, complete with the factory hangtags. This FSR (Factory Special Run) model features a Walnut gloss finish over an alder body, accented by a deep red tortoise pickguard, clearly evoking Elvis Costello's Jazzmaster. This limited edition Fender is a new instrument only intended for sale to a Japanese domestic audience, sourced direct from Tokyo.

A reinvention of Fender Japan's Jazzmaster platform, the new Traditional 60s model features Fender USA V-Mod black bobbin pickups, as well as USA-made CTS pots, Switchcraft switches, and USA Fender plastic parts. A textbook example of everything we love about the Jazzmaster, the instrument has plenty of twang and sparkle on tap, with a range of powerful and defined tones from the two single coil pickups, and warm, wooly sounds when switched to the Rhythm Circuit on the guitar's lower body horn. Lightweight at 7lbs 4oz, the guitar balances well on a strap and has been setup here at Mike & Mike's Guitar Bar where we specialize in Fender Offset instruments, featuring the original 9-42 strings, low action, and spot-on intonation (string gauge and setup can be dialed in to buyer's preference at no charge upon request).

The maple neck has a fuller profile carve than earlier Fender Japan Jazzmasters, with generous shoulder and lightly rolled fretboard edges, offering a chunky C shape at the nut and just a hair more heft in the higher registers, measuring .870" deep at the 1st fret and .920" at the 12th. The rosewood fretboard features flawless slender fretwire and a modern-spec 9 1/2" fretboard radius. The scale length is a full 25 1/2", and the carved bone nut measures 42mm (1.650") in width. The headstock sports a Pre-CBS style "Spaghetti" Jazzmaster logo, with Kluson-style tuning machines which turn smoothly and hold pitch well.

All of the electronics function flawlessly, the chrome hardware shines like new, and the plastic parts are clean as can be, with the original clear protective factory plastic intact on the red tortoise pickguard. The vibrato unit works smoothly and engages easily for quick warbles and surfy dives, working in concert with the vintage-style bridge. The gloss Walnut finish is in mint condition.

This Traditional '60s Jazzmaster is complete with the original hangtag and Fender-branded gigbag.
