For sale is a used 7 string DeArmond S-67 SG Electric Guitar. The DeArmond S-67 was marketed as a budget-friendly (MSRP of $450) derivative of the Gibson SG when introduced in the US around 2000. Crafted in Indonesia.
The S67 is an entry level 7-string. It has a solid agathis body for heightened sustain, a nato neck with rosewood fingerboard with a 22-jumbo frets and "pearl" block inlays. The body of the S67 is based on the DeArmond S65, but had its scale length increased to compensate for the extra low B string.
Tune-o-matic bridge is paired with a slanted stop bar. Open coil humbuckers give the hot-rodded looks and tone to this raw and wild six-string rocker.
The guitar is in very good cosmetic condition but does have some light scratches (mostly on the pickguard) and scuffs along with some small dings, but nice shape for a played guitar approximately 19 years old. The electronics work, neck appears straight with light fret wear. Note: one of the silver color "D" knob covers is missing. See photos.
YouTube Demo and Review of a DeArmond S-67 Guitar
This unique guitar has such a cool retro look that casual observers might not even notice is a 7-string. It would make a nice addition to any collection. These guitar are pretty hard to find since they were only made for a couple years before Fender discontinued the DeArmond line in 2004.
Includes guitar ONLY no stand or case.
