Ray-Era Ayottes are genuinely rare, and a complete kit with cases and matching serials is hard to find.
These drums have the classic warm, open maple tone Ayottes are known for, plus the durability advantages of metal hoops. Most Ayotte toms came with wood hoops - metal hoops add real-world durability that matters for hard players and working drummers: better tuning stability under heavy hitting, more resistance to road damage, and a slightly tighter attack that cuts through a loud mix. You also get an extra set of chrome hoops if you want a different look.

• Ray-Era Ayotte maple shells with matching sequential serials
• Factory hand dyed transparent purple finish - grain shows beautifully through the color
• Clean original bearing edges
• Factory black metal hoops on all four toms; kick has standard wood hoops
• Full extra set of chrome metal hoops for all four toms - swap between looks quickly

• 22×18 kick
• 16×14, 14×12, 12×10, 10×8 toms
Hardware & Cases:
• (3) DW 9934 heavy-duty tom stands with DW 934 cymbal boom arms
• Full Humes & Berg Enduro hard case set for all drums and hardware
• Full set of new batter heads
Condition:
• Finish shows minor wear from normal use - looks great from playing distance
• Shells are true/round; edges clean; tunes up easily
• Hardware shows normal cosmetic wear
• One DW boom arm has a slight dent in the tube from over-clamping - functions and holds normally
• H&B kick case missing center handle; side handles intact and functional
• Foam liners removed from H&B cases; cases are otherwise solid and protective
• No structural issues
