For sale is a used Fender Highway 1 Texas Telecaster Electric Guitar in a Honey Blonde transparent low gloss acylic finish. Made in Corona, California, USA in 2005. Texas Highway 1's were made for only a few years starting in 2004.

The Texas version was a sub-model of the Hwy 1 line, based on the 52 tele reissue with a few modern adjustments. Unlike other Highway 1's, the VERY HARD TO FIND Texas Tele's, like this guitar have the classic Fender "spaghetti" block lettering, 3-saddle bridge with brass barrels, vintage style tuners, disk string tree, 21 frets and a single ply 5-screw pickguard that combine to give it a retro look and feel.

Highway 1 Texas guitars also have a unique combination of features, most notably a 12" radius fingerboard like a Gibson (better for fast solos & string bends) which is unlike any of the other Highway 1 models and most other telecasters.

Solid maple neck (no seperate fretboard) with walnut "skunk" stripe. The finish color has translucence, allowing the character of the body’s Ash grain to show through.

Upgrades to guitar by a previous owner:
Seymour Duncan STR-1 Vintage Telecaster Rhythm, Neck Pickup
Seymour Duncan Humbucker SJBJ-1B JB Junior, Bridge Pickup
Black conductive "shielding paint" was applied to the body pickup and pot cavities to protect the electronics from outside noise.

This guitar is used but in overall good condition for a 19 year old guitar but there are nicks/dings, finish chip by bridge pickup and light scratches. Some buckle rash on the back. See photos, the last part of the serial # is obscured ONLY in the photo. Note: Routing done to accomodate upgraded bridge pickup extends beyond the edge of metal cover plate. Price was lowered accordingly.

Before selling will install a set of brand new guitar strings - Ernie Ball Rock n Roll Power slinkies

American made, discontinued Fenders can become pretty valuable over time. The highly collectible Highway 1 Texas tele's are in great demand and in low supply. Don't confuse them with the much more common highway one's with 22 frets, 9.5 radius and Alder bodies. This guitar would definately make a unique addition to any guitar collection.

Includes Fender Highway 1 Texas telecaster guitar, brand new Fender guitar strap, Fender padded gig bag and original guitar labels/owners manual ONLY, NO stand.

Note: I will be selling this item along with several other guitars and amps one of these weekends (contact me for exact date) at J&J Flea Market, 11661 Commerce Rd, Athens, Georgia. 30607

If a serious buyer, I will also consider a private sale or POSSIBLE TRADE within Athens, only.
