I built this little guy from a used(gov't surplus) office machine into which I added a graphics card so that I could get in on the early days of PUBG while I saved to build a beefier machine and to re-acquaint myself with PC's and PC gaming after many years of using a console and basically having no need for a desktop since I had a smartphone.
While it's no i7 w/ 1080ti and flashy RGB lights, it definitely got me where I needed to go on the budget I had at the time and has continued to serve my Fiance well playing a myriad of steam games and classics she still had CD Roms For (Rimworld, Age of Empires, The Sims etc..) until this week when I built her a new one to match mine.
So Here I offer you a perfect budget Starter PC for the Budding Gamer or a great media machine for the living room.
Lenovo M-91P SFF PC(SFF=Small Form Factor-It's about as big as a standard PS4/XBOX)
Intel core i5-2400 Base 3.10 GHz Turbo 3.40 GHz Quad Core Processor
MSI GTX 1050Ti 4GB GDDR5 Graphics Card
8 Gb DDR3 RAM
*NEW*240GB SanDisk SSD w/ Clean Windows install(Not Activated)*
GameDias Hermes E1 Mechanical Gaming Keyboard & matching Mouse w/ Razer Goliath Mousepad
HDMI Cable-Plug it into any TV or most monitors and GO
Fortnite/Epic Games Launcher and Steam Pre-Installed - Just Sign up, Create your Gamertags And GO!
**Will include Razer Mamba TE Gaming Mouse (retails$90) for an extra $25.**
The SSD makes this thing Super Snappy like a brand new PC, boots up in seconds and handles most day to day functions with ease. You should see frame rates of 60+ on Med-High settings in pretty much any game made before 2015 fortnite gets 55-60 on ultra and 100+ on med PUBG will get 40-60. 100% playable. Non-3d Games should present no issues.
Not much Room to upgrade this little guy further, you *Could* put a 2nd gen i7 in there for some modest gains or upgrade the ram to 16MB, again for modest gains. But the 1050ti and the SSD could certainly be used in a future build and paired with even a slightly better processor and ddr4 RAM the 1050ti will perform even better.
So you get a playable gaming machine with peripherals and some important parts you can use in a new build down the road. All in all I think someone will get a great value here.
