I like tearing stuff apart for fun. Help me scratch that itch. I don't do this for a living, but I do thoroughly enjoy restoring and bringing vintage tools back to their former glory. The fact that these tools have internal combustion engines makes this even more fun. Cleaning out the garage and have some old chainsaws collecting dust? I would love to help with that.
What do I do with the saws? I fix them, put them on a shelf, and then sit in a folding chair in the garage drinking bubly water with my buddies while looking at them just as the good Lord intended.
Every so often my wife reaches her limit for extreme eye rolls when I bring another useless toy home so I do have to part with them, but for the most part, they just sit there, begging to be used.
As for pricing... well... free is obviously best. In fact if you do give me a saw, I promise to show up blasting freebird with the windows down out of sheer excitement. Twist my arm and I will actually pay you if I must.
Stihl saws and Sachs Dolmar are preferred, but would also be interested in older McCulloch, Jonsered (really anything Swedish), old Homelite's, or really anything else that is unique, or needs a little love. Ask nicely and I may even take a look at trying to get your grandad's old saw going for you.
